Fatal Norwalk DUI Crash Arrest Made: PD
A pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver, police said.
NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk woman was charged with manslaughter and DUI following a fatal crash involving a pedestrian, according to police.
Darlene Moody, 51, was arrested for the September hit-and-run crash that killed pedestrian Archie Hilliard, said Lt. Terrence Blake, police spokesman.
Hilliard was found seriously hurt near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Lowe Street.

Moody fled the scene, police said. She was found nearby on Ely Avenue and police obtained a search warrant for her medical records at Norwalk Hospital. Her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
An arrest warrant was issued for Hilliard Dec. 3 and she turned herself in. She was charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, evading, DUI, reckless driving and interfering with police.
