Fee Argument Between Norwalk PD Towing Company

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk towing company and police are working on a solution after a confrontation over a towing incident.

Fedor Auto Body towed a car from the Stop and Shop parking lot and charged the owner $238.50, according to the Hour. Under state law the non-consensual towing fee is $88 plus 4.75 per mile after two miles.

The owner of the company claimed police trespassed on private property and broke into it without a warrant.
