NORWALK, CT — Two residents of a five-story apartment building in Norwalk were displaced as a result of fire that broke out Saturday afternoon, according to fire officials.

In a news release, Assistant Chief Edward McCabe said an activated fire alarm and sprinkler system alerted crews of a structure fire at 55 North Water Street around 2:45 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from a fourth floor apartment and a 25-person crew extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes, McCabe said.
