Fire Breaks Out At Norwalk Storage Facility: FD

Fire officials said the blaze started in one of the storage units and extended to an adjoining unit.

NORWALK, CT — A fire that broke out at a Willard Road self-storage facility Thursday morning was quickly extinguished, according to fire officials.

In a news release, Deputy Fire Chief Stephen Shay said the fire started in one of the storage units on the second floor of the four-story building around 10 a.m. It then extended to an adjoining unit.

The blaze was quickly extinguished, however there was considerable smoke and water damage, Shay said. No injuries were reported.
