Fire Leaves House Unfit For Occupancy: Norwalk Fire Dep't
Fire crews were able to rescue a family pet.

NORWALK, CT — A house on Magnolia Avenue was damaged in a fire on Sunday evening and is currently unfit for occupancy, a fire officials said.
At 5:03 p.m. the Norwalk Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 34 Magnolia Avenue.
When crews arrived, they found fire showing from a second floor window with smoke pushing from the four corners of a 2 ½ story wood frame home, officials said.

A primary search resulted in the rescue of a family pet that was treated by Norwalk EMS.
"Norwalk Police did an excellent job with traffic and crowd control," a fire official said in a news release. "The fire was brought under control in 24 minutes. Fire inspector David Burrows is investigating the cause of the fire and has posted the home unfit for occupancy."
