Fire At Norwalk Business Sends 1 To Hospital: FD

Fire officials said one person was sent to the hospital after flames broke out over the weekend at a Norwalk business.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk firefighters responded to a building fire at a Martin Luther King Boulevard business Saturday morning at approximately 8:50 a.m.

Fire officials said flames broke out at a two-story commercial building occupied by Mikes Limo Service. The fire started in the apartment located at the rear of the garage, according to a release.

Officials said the room was gutted and there was heavy smoke damage to the rest of the building. One occupant of the business was transported to Norwalk Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns, officials said.

It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to knock down the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
