Firefighters Rescue Man From Trench In Norwalk: FD
Fire officials said the man was accidentally bumped into a hole at an excavation site.
NORWALK, CT — A man was injured Tuesday after falling into a trench at an excavation site in Norwalk, according to fire officials.
In a news release, Deputy Chief Steve Shay said firefighters received a report of a worker in a hole at an excavation site.
According to Shay, the man was accidentally bumped into the hole by a backhoe operator.

Firefighters pulled the man from the trench and treated his injuries, Shay said. He was later taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
