Spotlight on Rising Stars’ College Bound Program

It’s been a busy season at Rising Stars, where we recently completed prescreens and coachings with our nine seniors in the College Bound Program. These talented high school seniors are now eagerly awaiting audition results as they compete for spots in some of the nation’s top BFA Musical Theatre, BFA Acting, BM Vocal Performance, and BM Music Education programs. With over 11 years of success, the College Bound Program has consistently supported students in achieving acceptances to top-tier conservatories and universities. We look forward to celebrating each student’s journey!

Exciting Fall Updates at Rising Stars

Rising Stars Performing Arts is thrilled to welcome Tim McGarrigal, whose jazz and ballet classes have quickly become student favorites. Patrick McGill returns for his fourth year to lead our popular musicianship classes, now in person, and to direct Of Mice and Mozart, our upcoming elementary production premiering in January.

Senior company member Katie Donahue is gaining valuable experience as an intern choreographer and assistant director, working under Patrick’s mentorship as she prepares for a career in music education. Additionally, Paul Chernysh, another senior company member, serves as the teaching assistant in Intermediate Music Theory, where he is continuing to sharpen his sight-reading and musicianship skills as he plans pursues a degree in vocal performance and opera.

Our high school students are hard at work in Artistic Director Joe Santaniello’s 13th annual Best of Broadway class, creating an original, devised theatre piece that will debut in January.
