Former Norwalk Employee Sues City Over Alleged Harassment: Report

The suit states he suffered mental stress and other issues as a result of the alleged hostile work environment.

NORWALK, CT — A former Norwalk Department of Public Works employee alleges he was continuously harassed and threatened by a coworker and is suing the city, the Norwalk Hour reported. The suit states he suffered mental stress and had to leave the department early due to the alleged hostile work environment.

According to the Norwalk Hour, Bela Garrison alleges in the lawsuit that Scott Vetare tried to run him over with a garbage truck in 2010 and also brought an assault rifle to work and bragged about being able to "take out two with one bullet." Vetare deferred to his attorney, who did not comment on the lawsuit to the Hour.
