Get A Free Car Seat Check From Norwalk Police

According to police, 73 percent of car seats are misused or improperly installed.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police are offering free car seat checks for residents from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at Stepping Stones Children Museum on West Avenue. Should there be inclement weather that day, the location will be changed to the Norwalk Fire Department on Westport Avenue.

According to a news release, police said 73 percent of car seats are misused or improperly installed. Concerned parents and guardians will have the opportunity to have their car seats checked by a certified child passenger safety technician.

"Everyone deserves to feel safe and secure, especially in their own vehicles," police said in a release.

The museum is located right off exit 15 of Interstate 95.
