Girl Scout Day Returns To Maritime Aquarium In Norwalk
The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk invites Girl Scouts from across the region to a special event this weekend.

NORWALK, CT — The Maritime Aquarium invites Girl Scouts from across the region to a special Girl Scout Day event Saturday at the Norwalk facility.
According to a news release provided by the aquarium, the event will feature discounted admission, hands‑on educational programs and unique opportunities to complete badge and journey requirements.
Discounted Girl Scout Day admission is $19.50 for children (ages 3–12), $25.50 for adults and $25.50 for seniors. Add-on 4D movie tickets are available for $7.95 per person ($6.95 for members), according to the aquarium.

In addition to exploring the aquarium, scouts may register for a selection of age‑appropriate add‑on official Girl Scout badge and journey programs designed to deepen their understanding of animals, science and conservation, according to the aquarium.

Pets Badge – Brownies (10:30–11:30 a.m.)
- Learn how the aquarium cares for the animals and explore how feeding, enrichment, and safety practices help to keep them healthy. It supports completion of badge steps 1, 3, and 5. ($15)
Think Like a Citizen Scientist – Juniors to Ambassadors (10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.)
- Explore real science initiatives, collect plankton samples (weather permitting), use microscopes, and design projects. It fulfils journey requirements. ($18)
Behind-the-Scenes Tour – All Levels (10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.)
- A guided look into the aquarium’s behind‑the‑scenes operations, career paths, and conservation work, concluding with a stingray feeding. ($15)
Think Like a Citizen Scientist – Daisies & Brownies (1 p.m. to 2 p.m.)
- Practice observation skills and learn how scientists study animals in their natural habitats. It supports journey requirements. ($15)
Program registration closes Feb. 26 at 5 p.m., according to the aquarium.
Admission is not included in program fees and must be purchased separately.
