GoFundMe Set Up On Behalf Of Norwalk Man Killed In I-95 Crash

Victor Emanuel Deleon was killed early Sunday morning in a crash in Darien.

NORWALK, CT — A GoFundMe page has been established on behalf of the family of Norwalk resident Victor Emanuel Deleon, who was killed Sunday in a car crash on I-95 in Darien.

In less than a day, more than $12,000 has been raised toward a goal of $15,000.

"We are raising funds to help Renee and her family manage the unforeseen expenses they now face. Any amount is appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to the Gayle family to assist them at this difficult time."

Deleon and four other Norwalk residents were traveling in a 2007 Volkswagen Passat northbound on I-95 at about 6:30 a.m. when the car veered off the road and struck a tree between exits 9 and 10. Deleon, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 19-year-old Indira S. Rivera, and the other passengers, Chase Ortiz, 19; Julius C. Beau, 20; and Jordan A. Palmer, 20, all suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by Connecticut State Police.
