NORWALK, CT — Two Norwalk men and a Bridgeport man were arrested on weapons and narcotics charges Thursday night after police chased them and discovered two handguns and four grams of marijuana in the vehicle they were riding in.
The incident started at about 9:30 p.m., after members of the Norwalk Police Department's Strategic Narcotics Enforcement Team saw a black Mazda stopped in the area of Bouton Street and smelled "the distinct odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle."

That suspect remains at large. Police subsequently searched the area with the help of a K-9 officer to no avail.
"The Mazda eventually stopped in the area of Robbins Square East. Two of the occupants immediately attempted to flee but were ordered back in the vehicle. All occupants were removed and detained. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a high capacity magazine on the floor of the driver's side. Officers then located a 40 caliber handgun next to it. A second handgun, a 9 millimeter, was located in the back seat where the occupant who fled was sitting. Aproximately 4 grams of marijuana was located."
