NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested late Sunday night after officers found a handgun and oxycodone in a vehicle at a parking garage in town, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Joe Dinho said an officer patrolling the area of Day Street just before 11 p.m. received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage of a nearby building.

When officers found the vehicle, they noticed a GLOCK 9mm handgun on the driver's side floor board along with a 33-round high-capacity magazine. Officers also found Oxycodone in the vehicle, according to Dinho.

The driver, Dontae Jayden Scullark, 20, of Norwalk, resisted arrest and was brought to police headquarters for processing, Dinho said.

Scullark was charged with illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of controlled substance and interfering with an officer/resisting.

His bond was set at $75,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, Dinho said.
