Here's Why Norwalk Police Will Be Wearing Pink Patches All Month
For the month of October, officers will work to help spread awareness and bring attention to the fight against breast cancer.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department is once again participating in the Pink Patch Project(#PinkPatchProject), an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations, by wearing pink patches on their uniforms throughout October.
According to a news release, the goal of the project is to increase awareness about the life-saving benefits of early detection and intervention in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to public education efforts, police said the department is also selling NPD Pink Patches to raise funds for the Smilow Family Breast Health Center at Norwalk Hospital. Patches can be purchased for $10.
