Historic Rowayton To Host 10th Annual Chili Cook Off
Enjoy live bluegrass music, cold beer, corn bread, cider donuts and of course plenty of delicious chili on a perfect fall day.
NORWALK, CT — Things are heating up as contestants ready themselves for Historic Rowayton's 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off next month.
The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Pinkney Park, located at 177 Rowayton Avenue, according to a news release provided by the historical society.
Enjoy live bluegrass music, cold beer, corn bread, cider donuts, cider and of course plenty of delicious chili on a perfect fall day. Admission to the event is $25 for adults, $10 for ages 12-17 and free for children under 12.

Come challenge the United Church Nursery School, the last first prize-winner, for the chance to wear the crown. Prizes will be given to the best restaurant chili and top three individual chilis.
According to Historic Rowayton, the cook off is a fundraiser for the historical society, which is currently raising funds to restore a Revolutionary War-era barn.

In the interest of helping the environment, Historic Rowayton will no longer be selling plastic bottles of water, and guests are asked to remember to bring their own reusable water bottles or cups. A water filling station will be available, as well as canned water and apple cider for sale.
Parking is available in the Old School lot on the corner of Witch Lane and Rowayton Avenue.
