Holiday Schedule for Norwalk Recycling and Garbage Collection Next Week

For the Memorial Day Holiday

The following is from the City of Norwalk concerning Recycling and Garbage Collection for the Memorial Day Holiday:

Monday May 30, 2016 (Memorial Day), garbage and recycling collection services will follow the holiday schedule.

Garbage normally collected on Monday May 30th , will be picked up on Tuesday May 31st. Tuesday routes will be collected on Wednesday June 1st , and so on until Friday routes are collected on Saturday June 4th.

Recycling normally collected on Monday May 30th, will be picked up on Tuesday May 31st. Tuesday routes will be collected on Wednesday June 1st, and so on until Friday routes are collected on Saturday June 4th.

The Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent Street, and the Yard Debris Site, located at 15 South Smith Street, will both be CLOSED on Monday May 30th (Memorial Day) and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday May 31st.

All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass as they enter both the Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2015 Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass expired on March 31, 2016. Residents are required to have the 2016 Resident/ Beach Pass.
