House Fire Displaces 2 In Norwalk: FD

Fire officials said the blaze started in the wall of one of the home's bedrooms.

NORWALK, CT — Two people were displaced by a house fire Saturday in Norwalk, fire officials said.

In a news release, Deputy Chief Steve Shay said crews were called to a house on Avenue E after a fire broke out in a second-floor bedroom wall, behind an electrical baseboard.

The house was determined to be unfit for occupancy and two residents were displaced, Shay said. The American Red Cross provided housing for the residents.

No injuries were reported, Shay said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
