House Fire Extinguished In Norwalk: FD
The American Red Cross is helping seven residents following a house fire in Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — The American Red Cross is helping six adults and one child following a fire that broke out Sunday morning at a two-family Paradiso Street home in Norwalk. According to a press release, firefighters responded after receiving a report of smoke coming from the house.
Deputy Chief Albe Bassett said all the residents had evacuated the home prior to the fire department's arrival. (To sign up for Norwalk breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
"Fire companies found fire burning in the ceiling of the second floor bathroom and the third floor apartment," Bassett said in a release. "Hose lines were stretched to extinguish the fires on both floors."

Bassett said there were no injuries reported and the Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs and is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items, such as toothbrushes and deodorant, and a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire.
