Intro To Medical Cannabis Course Offered At Three Rivers

Individuals interested in the College's new course can attend an informational session Oct. 19.

Three Rivers Community College will offer a free information session on Tuesday, October 19 from 5-6 pm in Room B127 for individuals interested in the College’s new course, Introduction to Medical Cannabis, and other upcoming Allied Health programs. —

Introduction to Medical Cannabis gives preliminary information on cannabis as well as covers how medical cannabis is practiced in Connecticut. The class explores how cannabis can treat approved medical conditions as well as the state laws on medical marijuana, the chemical composition of cannabis, and the role it plays in human physiology and pharmacology.

Three Rivers Workforce and Community Education Program Coordinator Jennifer Mueller will also provide overviews of the Certified Nurse Aide Program, Central Sterile Processing Program, and Pharmacy Technician Program. Allied Health programs focus on fields with some of the fastest growing careers in Connecticut, and Three Rivers short-term training allows you to get the instruction and certifications you need to get started in a new profession.
