Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Norwalk Man On Narcotics Charges

Norwalk police seized over 100 grams of marijuana and a handgun in connection with the case.

NORWALK, CT — A 24-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on narcotics charges on Thursday following a nearly three-month long investigation that the suspect "was selling large quantities of marijuana" in an around Norwalk, according to police.

Members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division launched their investigation into David Sequeira, of Benedict Street, in December, which involved "multiple controlled purchases of marijuana."

As a result of the investigation, Norwalk police obtained warrants for Sequeira's arrest and search of his home.

Officers arrested Sequeira during a motor vehicle stop and the Special Services Division subsequently searched his home where officers found 120 grams of marijuana, $1,300 in cash, 13 THC vaping cartridges, a .38 caliber Charter 2000 handgun, various drug paraphernalia and packaging material.

He was held in lieu of bail of $315,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court at a later date.
