Jennifer Anne Gormley, 48, of East Norwalk, CT, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, after a three-year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of John P. Deacy, devoted mother to Anthony and James, daughter of Robert and Beatrice Gormley, and sister of Catherine (Jeffrey) Winograd.
Jennifer was a faithful parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, East Norwalk, where she sang in the choir, and was a dedicated employee of the O’Melveny & Myers law firm in New York City.
Graduating from Wesleyan University, she later received her Masters degree from Hunter College. She volunteered teaching ESL in Norwalk.
She will be missed by all that knew her; may God receive her into His fold. Rest in peace, Jennifer.
A wake will be held Monday, December 17, 4:00-8:00 p.m, at the Hoyt-Cognetta/ Lesko Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 18, 10:00 a.m., at Christ Episcopal Church, 2 Emerson Street, East Norwalk.
