John Hamilton, Liberation Programs' CEO, Appointed to NIDA Council

John Hamilton, President & CEO of Liberation Programs, Named to National Institute of Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network Community Represent

(Bridgeport, CT) May 1, 2023: Liberation Programs is proud to announce the appointment of its President & CEO, John Hamilton, LADC, LMFT, to the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Community Representative Council (CIRCL) representing the New England Consortium led by the addiction researchers at Harvard University and Yale University.

NIDA is the lead federal agency supporting scientific research on drug use and addiction. The NIDA Clinical Trails Network “provides an enterprise in which NIDA, treatment researchers, and community-based service providers work toward new treatment options in community-level clinical practice”.

CIRCL consists of 6 individuals representing different geographic areas with an aim to inform the research agenda and discuss the state of drug addiction, treatment, and prevention across the nation. John and his fellow CIRCL representatives will give a voice to broader community perspectives, inform CTN of timely and significant issues, identify gaps in research and implementation, and participate in multi-directional information sharing.
