It has been a busy and fulfilling summer at Rising Stars Performing Arts with our summer offerings, a recital tour, masterclass series, and our big summer stock production of Pippin with high school and college students. We are incredibly proud to report that from our inception last August to the end of June; we ran 28 successful programs in our proven Quadruple Threat Method: Singing, Acting, Dance, and Musicianship. This year’s seniors have gotten into a myriad of wonderful schools in the arts, including but not limited to Boston Conservatory at Berklee, NYU, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Muhlenberg College, and Providence College.

For our youngest rising stars, we still have some spots remaining in our two half-day camp offerings: Stone Soup from grades K-2 and our Disney Extravaganza for grades 3rd-6th grades starting next Monday, July 31st- Friday, August 4th, with a joint performance at Pequot Library in Southport, CT on Saturday, August 5th at 12:30 pm.

But first, this week, come one and all to see Pippin this upcoming weekend! With an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner, and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man's journey to be extraordinary. Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival, this updated circus-inspired version of Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world. Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is searching for the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh, and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day. This show is not to be missed!

Fall 2023 offerings from Rising Stars Performing Arts are now LIVE and include “Elf The Musical Jr,” for grades 5-10 for our cover musical, “Best of Broadway” for grades 8-12, a devised work written and produced by the students, “God of Carnage” for our straight play grades 9-12, and “Little Red’s Most Unusual Day” for our children’s opera grades 11th- College. Rising Stars is also offering multiple open-level dance classes, music theory and musicianship classes, and a variety of workshop courses that run between September and January!

We welcome first-timers and seasoned actors alike! Surround yourself in a supportive yet challenging environment where everyone is committed to taking their skill sets to the next level!
