NORWALK, CT — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities

What: Norwalk Independence Day Concert & Firework Show at Calf Pasture Beach. Derik & the Fun Bags will perform at Shady Beach. DJ Vinnie Campisi will perform at Calf Pasture Beach.

Where: Shady Beach/Calf Pasture Beach

When: July 3, 2021 7:30 pm (RAIN DATE JULY 5)


What: New Canaan's 2022 Family Fourth Celebration

Where: New Canaan

When: July 3 (previously scheduled for July 2)


What: Fireworks display in Darien.

When: Friday, July 15. Rain date is July 16. Gates open 6:30 p.m., show starts around 9 p.m.

Where: Darien High School.


What: The Wilton Parks & Recreation Department's Freedom Run 5K Road Race.

Where: The Wilton High School stadium track at 395 Danbury Road

When: The Freedom Run begins at 8:30 a.m. on July 4th. Participants should arrive by 8:15 a.m.
