NORWALK, CT — Looks like the chicken has flown the coop at the Richards Avenue KFC in Norwalk. The popular fried chicken restaurant recently closed after not paying rent for nearly six months, reports The Hour.

The operators of the Richards Avenue eatery, Gilbert and Ricardo Rozier, owed the building owners, New England Holdings II, more than $48,000 in back rent, according to a lawsuit unearthed by the publication.

Following a court ruling, the operators agreed to make payments but stopped, which led to an eviction by state marshals.
