Kohl's Security Guard Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Girl: PD
The White Plains, NY man was arrested at the Norwalk department store, located on Connecticut Avenue, on Friday.
NORWALK, CT — A 35-year-old Kohl's department store security guard was arrested on a warrant by Norwalk police detectives Friday, after the department said the man sexually assaulted a female juvenile at the Connecticut Avenue store last month.
Edwin Espichan, of White Plains, NY was arrested at the store on Friday. Norwalk police launched an investigation into the incident on June 21, after the parents of two girls told detectives that Espichan had detained the two girls in the store's security office.
"During their detention, Espichan asked for sexual favors in lieu of the police or their parents being called," said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake in a statement. "The Special Victims Unit’s investigation further revealed that one of the juveniles was sexually assaulted by Espichan while detained. The juvenile victims were eventually released [by Espichan] after being detained for over an hour. Later that day Espichan contacted one of the juvenile victims via social media."
