Labor Day 2018: What's Open, Closed In Norwalk

Here are the closings to be aware of during the end-of-summer holiday in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Whether you're ready or not, the unofficial end of summer is approaching. The Labor Day holiday weekend might be some consolation for the end of your summer relaxation, but that means some services will be shut down for the long weekend of Sept. 1-3.

Norwalk government will observe the following holiday schedule:

  • City Hall – Closed.
  • Libraries – The Norwalk Public Library and the South Norwalk Public Library will be closed Monday.
  • Liquor and Grocery Stores – all stores will be open; check individually for hours.
  • Schools – Closed.
  • Refuse/recycling pickup – No collection Monday. Collection will slide by one day.
  • Transfer Station – Closed.
