Letter To The Editor: Help Close The Opportunity Gap
"I hope everyone joins me in supporting Giving Day this year on February 25."

Dear Editor,
Help close the opportunity gap in Fairfield County on February 25!
Fairfield County’s Community Foundation is eagerly preparing for its 8th annual Giving Day on
February 25 and needs your help supporting local nonprofits addressing disparities in our
communities. Fairfield County’s Giving Day is the county’s biggest philanthropic event of the
year. As the current health and humanitarian crisis continues, we are looking to the community
to help support our local partners.

Bank of America is once again collaborating with Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for
this impactful event to fuel economic and social progress and strengthen our communities.
Giving Day directly supports services for those in need, as well as programs that enhance our
county’s vitality, including youth and education groups, food banks, the arts, and environmental
organizations.
I hope everyone joins me in supporting Giving Day this year on February 25. How do you
donate? Easy – visit fcgives.org between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on February 25. Over $1.6
million was raised in 2020 by 12,666 donors for 390 nonprofits, and with your help, we are
hoping to beat last year’s efforts.
