Liberation Programs Announces Appointment of New Board Members

Joining the Board are Kari Pollak of Stamford and Heidi Smith of Darien.

(Norwalk, CT) – Liberation Programs, Inc (LPI) announced the addition of two new Board Members at its January meeting. Joining the Board are Kari Pollak of Stamford and Heidi Smith of Darien.

“We are excited to welcome Kari and Heidi to our Board bringing their extensive non-profit expertise to Liberation Programs. Their enthusiasm and passion for our work will be paramount to moving our mission forward”, said President and CEO, John Hamilton.

Kari Pollak, daughter of former Board Chair Ed Pollak, is the Manager of Special Events for Stamford Hospital Foundation where she is responsible for organizing and executing all fundraising events. A Stamford native, she is an active community volunteer including serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Stamford’s SilverSource, the Stamford YMCA Board of Directors, the Marketing Advisory Committee of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, and an active member of the Stamford Police Foundation. Kari holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hartwick College and a Master’s degree from Sacred Heart University.

Heidi Smith is the Chief Financial Officer at Lighthouse NC, LLC in New Canaan. Residing in Darien, Heidi is an avid volunteer and serves as Treasurer of the Darien YMCA. She has also been involved in various volunteer positions with Person-to-Person, Building One Community, and Norwalk Hospital. Heidi holds Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, where she is an Alumni Councilor and Alumni Interviewer, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School.
