Lighthouse Sold Off Norwalk Coast
A nonprofit preservation society intends to restore the lighthouse to its former glory.

NORWALK, CT —Green Ledge Lighthouse in Long Island Sound near Norwalk has been sold to a nonprofit that intends to preserve the property.
The lighthouse was sold for $150,000 at a federal auction last year, according to the Hartford Courant.
Green Ledge Light Preservation Society intends to restore the lighthouse by raising about $500,000. Mutual fund manager Tim Pette donated the funds to purchase the lighthouse.
