NORWALK, CT — A man accused of leaving a loaded handgun in the bathroom of a Norwalk diner was arrested this week, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said officers were called to the Post Road Diner, located on Connecticut Avenue, on Sept. 13 after a 9mm Glock handgun loaded with 13 bullets was left in the men's bathroom.

After further investigation, police determined Christopher James Miles, 38, of Norwalk, left the handgun in the bathroom, Podgorski said.

According to Podgorski, Miles is a convicted felon and not allowed by law to possess a firearm.

Miles was arrested on a warrant Tuesday at his home. He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a large capacity magazine.

His bond was set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to Podgorski.
