Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum To Host Holiday Open House
The event will feature a full hour with Santa Claus, music performances and more.

NORWALK, CT - From Lockwood Mathews Mansion: On Sunday, December 9, 2018, 12-4 p.m., 295 West Ave., Norwalk, CT, at the annual Holiday Open House, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will feature a full hour with North Pole’s Santa Claus and music performances in collaboration with the award-winning Wilton High School Music Program, under the direction of Kevin Cotellese, Director of Choral Activities.
Visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibit, A Magical Christmas Eve at the Lockwood- Mathews Mansion Museum, take memorable family portraits, and enjoy the beauty and splendor of the Museum’s holiday displays. Admission to the Holiday Open House is $5.
During the event, the Mansion’s Café will be open to visitors and offer complimentary
refreshments served by the Museum’s costumed interpreters and generously provided by Stew
Leonard’s.

Santa Claus with his Loyal Elf (12:30-1:30 p.m.)
Santa Claus and his loyal elf will make their way into the Music Room and spend a full hour
greeting children and hearing their Christmas wishes before they head back to the North Pole for
their big night.
Wilton High School Music Program (2- 3:45 p.m.)
In collaboration with the award-winning Wilton High School Music Program, the Mansion
will feature a variety of ensembles which have consistently scored the highest ratings at festivals
and competitions. The curriculum includes Orchestra, Band, and Choral programs that perform a
breadth of musical styles and genres, with students participating in Regional, State, and National
honors ensembles. These students pursue their passion for music beyond the classroom,
performing in solo recitals and regional youth symphonies and choruses.
