According to the museum, many people in the Victorian era believed it was possible to communicate with the dead, and consulting with mediums was part of a mourning ritual as well as a coping mechanism that even titans of industry, political leaders and renowned scientists were known to explore, including Cornelius Vanderbilt, Queen Victoria and Thomas Edison.
The mansion will open its doors to these ghosts of the past and share stories that will thrill and chill visitors of all ages. Beware of bumping into ghosts walking across the walls of the mansion's period rooms, as they see no obstacles, especially on Halloween, according to the museum.
