Luis Manuel Villalobos Rodriguez, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2020. Luis was born on June 14, 1936 in Maricao, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Felix Villalobos and Juanita Rodriguez. He was the second youngest of five children. Luis is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carmen L. Simonetti, his six children; Ivette, Ada, Wanda, Carmen, Jorge and Brenda, and he was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. All whom he loved very dearly.

Luis migrated to Connecticut from Puerto Rico in 1972 with his wife and their three youngest children. Luis proudly served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957 in Korea. Before retiring at the age of 62, Luis worked as a wallet sample maker at Swank, Inc. - Crestline Division, a leather goods factory in Norwalk.

He was known to everyone as Luis, but as each grandchild learned to speak, he became lovingly known as Papá. Luis was a strong and quiet man who battled and survived several cancers. We all love him and will miss him tremendously.
