Man, 19, Charged With Commercial Sex Abuse Of Minor: Norwalk Police
Police said a man accused of contacting juveniles through social media and soliciting nude photos and videos was arrested this week.
NORWALK, CT — A 19-year-old Stratford man accused of contacting juveniles through social media and soliciting nude photos and videos was arrested Thursday, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the department's Special Victims Unit received a report in July from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families of a juvenile who had been sexually assaulted.
After Norwalk detectives assumed the investigation, they obtained multiple search warrants, conducted interviews and reviewed evidence obtained through the court-authorized warrants, Podgorski said.

According to Podgorski, the investigation revealed Mikel Matias Reyes, 19, of Stratford, contacted juveniles through social media platforms and solicited nude photographs and videos.
The investigation also determined Reyes enticed a juvenile victim to engage in sexual acts in exchange for money, according to Podgorski.

Podgorski also noted Reyes was 18 years old at the time of the incidents.
Reyes was arrested on a warrant Thursday morning. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault, commercial sex abuse of a minor and risk of injury to a minor.
His bond was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, according to Podgorski.
