Man Accused Of Stabbing Girl In Norwalk Arrested: PD
Police said a female juvenile suffered a non-life threatening injury to one of her legs as a result of the incident.

NORWALK, CT — Police said an 18-year-old Norwalk man has been charged in a stabbing incident in which a female juvenile suffered a non-life threatening injury to one of her legs. According to a press release, Patrol Division Officers responded to a report of a stabbing Saturday at 7:26 p.m. on Belden Avenue.
Arriving officers located the juvenile, who had sustained a "non-life threatening stab wound" to her leg, police said. She was transported to Norwalk Hospital by Norwalk Hospital EMS.

"Officers searched the area for the suspect with the assistance of a Westport Police K9 Unit, however he was not located," Lieutenant Terrence Blake said in a release. "Norwalk Detectives assumed the investigation and quickly determined that Emmanuel Diaz had committed the assault."
Police said the accused turned himself in at police headquarters Sunday at 1 a.m. and was charged with second-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and possession of a deadly weapon.
