Man Allegedly Tries to Escape from Police by Drunkenly Driving to His Own Home: Report
The suspect was chased and eventually apprehended on driving under the influence and related charges.

NORWALK, CT — A 28-year-old East Norwalk man was arrested on driving under the influence and related charges early Sunday after he allegedly led police on a chase through a portion of the city that ended at his own home, reports The Hour.
Edwin Barrios wrecked the front end of his car on East Avenue just before 3 a.m. but kept driving as an officer tried to pull him over. Barrios ignored the officer's lights and siren and drove to his Third Street home, parked and then peacefully submitted to being arrested.

- Driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol
- Engaging an officer in pursuit
- Evading responsibility
- Failure to drive in the proper lane
- Failure to bring a vehicle to a complete stop
- Driving without a license
- Failure to carry an insurance identification card
Barrios was held in lieu of an $8,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 9.
