Man Asks To Be Arrested, Throws Brick At Window: Norwalk Police

Norwalk police said a man allegedly smashed a police department window with a brick after officers declined to arrest him.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a man asked to be arrested Monday after walking into the Norwalk Police Department lobby with marijuana in his possession, the Norwalk Hour reported. When officers refused, the suspect allegedly threw a brick at one of the department's windows.

According to the Hour, 26-year-old Saeed Cantey of Brooklyn, N.Y. was found with a small amount of marijuana in his jacket and was fined $150, police said. While the suspect did not explain why he had entered the department, he insisted officers arrest him, police said.

Police said after officers refused to place the suspect under arrest, he smashed the lobby's front door with a brick, according to the Hour.
