Man Assaulted During Attempted Robbery In Norwalk: Report
Police said a 68-year-old Norwalk man was assaulted during a recent robbery attempt.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a Norwalk man, 68, was assaulted during a robbery attempt early Wednesday morning, the Norwalk Hour reported. The incident occurred when the victim was approached by a man and a woman while walking near West Cedar Street, police said.
According to the Hour, police said the victim was knocked down by the male suspect after offering to get the female suspect a cigarette from his apartment. The male suspect then went through the man's pockets while he was on the ground but found nothing, police said.
Police said the two suspects left the area on foot, according to the Hour. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
