Man Brought Loaded Gun Into Norwalk Park: Police

The man was found to have a loaded gun in his waistband and arrested, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A man was arrested after bringing a gun into a Norwalk park on Saturday, according to police.

Lonnie Ancrun, 22, of Day Street in Norwalk, is charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and interfering with police, authorities said.

An officer saw Ancrun near his home shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday and recognized him as a person detectives wanted to speak with about a shooting Friday in the area, according to police. The officer exited his vehicle and Ancrun walked into Ryan Park, initially refusing to comply with police orders, authorities said. Ancrun was found to have a loaded gun in his waistband and arrested, according to police.

His bond is set at $250,000 and he is due in court April 25, police said.
