Man Charged With Cashing Norwalk Landlord's Stolen Checks: Report

Police said a man is accused of cashing more than $13,000 in checks​ that were allegedly stolen from his Norwalk landlord.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a New York man is accused of cashing more than $13,000 in checks that were allegedly stolen from his Norwalk landlord, the Norwalk Hour reported.

According to the Hour, police said the landlord reported in April 2017 that 33-year-old Igor Ljekocevc of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., had stolen multiple checks and cashed more than 10 of them. Detectives later determined the accused had cashed an excess of $13,000 in fraudulent checks, police said.

Officers served a warrant for the accused's arrest Wednesday at Bronx Hall of Justice Court, where he was appearing on charges in New York, according to the Hour.
