NORWALK, CT — A man accused of robbing a Norwalk gas station was arrested less than 30 minutes after the incident was reported Tuesday night, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said a man displaying a knife entered a gas station on Connecticut Avenue around 8:30 p.m. and demanded cigarettes and a lighter, then left the store on foot. No injuries were reported.

Investigating officers discovered doors to a nearby commercial building were unlocked, prompting them to check inside. Officers quickly found Sean Hassan Jarrett, 29, of Norwalk, and arrested him, Gulino said.
