Man Shot In South Norwalk; Police Investigating
The victim suffered injuries to his legs that are not considered to be a threat to his life, according to Norwalk police.
NORWALK, CT — A 36-year-old man was shot in the legs Thursday night in South Norwalk, and police are investigating.
The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. on South Main Street near Merritt Street; the wounds the victim suffered are not considered to be a threat to his life, according to Norwalk police.
"Responding officers located a crime scene in the area of 152 South Main Street," Norwalk Police Lt. Terry Blake said in a statement. "A short time later Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a call from Norwalk Hospital, who reported that a male suffering from a gunshot wound had just arrived by private vehicle."

The department's Detective Bureau soon took over the investigation, which remains active. Additional details were not disclosed.
