Man Speeds Off With Norwalk Officer In Car: Report

Police said a New York man is accused of speeding away from one Norwalk officer while another was in his vehicle's passenger seat.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a New York man is accused of speeding away from one officer while another was in his passenger seat during a traffic stop Thursday, the Norwalk Hour reported. Police said the alleged incident occurred after officers spotted the accused parked illegally on Belden Avenue.

According to the Norwalk Hour, police said an officer got in the passenger seat to turn the vehicle off after Brandon Rivera, 22, of the Bronx, N.Y., refused to do so. The accused then sped about a half mile down the road with the officer in the car before coming to a stop and was subsequently arrested, police said.
