Man Stopped Over Vehicle Light, Found With Heroin: Norwalk Police

Police said a Stamford man was charged with several drug crimes after being stopped in Norwalk for not having a license plate light.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a Stamford man was charged with several drug crimes Monday night after being stopped near West Avenue and Chapel Street for not having a license plate light, the Norwalk Hour reported.

According to the Norwalk Hour, police said Anthony Lovito, 43, did not immediately pull over and told officers he did not have anything illegal in the vehicle. A subsequent K-9 search revealed 20 baggies of heroin in the center console of the vehicle, police said.
