Man Threatens Norwalk Bus Driver Over Face Mask: Police

NORWALK, CT — A 32-year-old Danbury man was arrested Monday after police said he tried to board a Norwalk bus without a face mask and threatened the driver after the driver told him he needed to wear one.

No injuries were reported in the altercation between the driver and Jeffrey Forzani, of Beaver Bark Road, and a gun was not found. Forzani was charged with breach of peace and multiple counts of drug possession.

The incident occurred at about 2:40 p.m. at the city's Pulse Point Bus Depot on Burnell Boulevard. After arguing with the driver, Forzani left the bus depot and was located and detained by officers.

During a search of Forzani, officers found powdered cocaine, a digital scale, clonazepam pills, and "a large amount of money."

  • Possession of controlled substance
  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
  • Possession of controlled substance within 1,500ft of a school
  • Possession of narcotics within 1,500ft of a school

Forzani was held in lieu of bail of $20,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
