Marek Blaszkiewicz, age 67, beloved husband of Danuta Karwowska Blaszkiewicz, passed away on January 15, 2019 at home comforted by his family. Marek was born on June 22, 1951, in Lomza, Poland. He was a son to the late Richard Blaszkiewicz and Stefania Kempa Blaszkiewicz.
In addition to his wife, Marek is survived by his three children; Artur Blaszkiewicz and his wife Teresa, Joanna McLaughlin and her husband Harlan, and Anna Blaszkiewicz, grandchildren; Natalie, Nell, Alex, and Hailey, a godson; Hubert Matejkowski, a niece; Paulina Newton, and a brother and sister with families in Poland. He is predeceased by his beloved granddaughter, Isabella, who passed away in 2010.
Marek had many hobbies and interests, which included photography, reading, cooking, politics, music, history, and carpentry. He cherished spending time at home with his family.
Friends and family are invited on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. for a Memorial Service to celebrate Marek’s life at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford, CT. Friends and family are invited to a reception following the church service at The Norwalk Inn, 99 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Entombment will be private.
