The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk invites homeschool families to visit the aquarium for "Homeschool Day."

NORWALK, CT — The Maritime Aquarium invites homeschool families to visit the aquarium and participate in award-winning, hands-on educational programming for "Homeschool Day" on March 29.
According to a news release provided by the aquarium, Homeschool Day features 10 grade-appropriate programs that meet Next Generation Science Standards through animal encounters, scientific investigations, and even a cruise on Long Island Sound.
"These biannual events are special opportunities for homeschool students," Vice President of Education Tom Naiman said in a news release. "They get to experience programs and work with aquarium educators just like our school groups! During these sessions, students are encouraged to think critically, and build a deeper connection with nature and the world around us."
