NORWALK, CT – Staff of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk today donated 322 toys to The Open Door Shelter in South Norwalk following a competitive departmental holiday toy drive. Delivering the boxes and boxes of toys – as part of the Aquarium’s outreach support into the community – were Director of Guest Operations Jodi Trice (left) and Senior Aquarist Sandi Schaefer-Padgett. The Open Door Shelter’s mission is to effectively address the causes and complexities of the homeless and working poor by providing shelter, food, clothing, case-management services, treatment services and other resources.
